1.
Today, my nephew, a professional photographer told me a story I couldn't believe. He was approached by a wedding magazine and asked if he would give them pictures to publish in their magazine of a wedding he had shot. There was a small catch, when asked what his reimbursement would be he was told it would be nothing. That he would be doing it for free. When he appropriately told them no they tried to guilt him into it by saying that the couple would suffer by not being in the magazine.
This news didn't bother me as much as hearing from my daughter, also a professional, who had the same experience except for the fact that giving the magazine her pic's wasen't enough, they wouldn't even give her credit for her pics?
This occured in the Northern California.
Does this happen alot?
How do you here at photo.net feel about this practice?

  2. I just started using my old trusty Nikon 105 f/1.8 lens on my Canon EOS 5D with

excellent results. Other than having to use it on full manual I get great focus

and control. Since Canon dosen't really have anything in this range and I

regard it as the perfect portrait lens, I am really tickled. Has anyone else

used other Nikon lens on their Canon 5D and what was the results?
00KkPm-36005484.thumb.jpg.35ab9311edd7d673c10c2c9a9d18af88.jpg

  3. Brian, chill. There are people that browse thru the Rate Photo's and give everyone a 3 just for fun. Don't let it bother you. Check out people that critique you, visit their site, look at their pic's and with that ifo you will be able to give creedance (one e ? ) to their ratings.

    Good luck
