help! C720 viewfinder and monitor show no view in Olympus Posted March 8, 2006 I have a C720 Olympus ultrazoom camera and I recently turned it on to use after a few months of non use. The view finder shows the info bits around the edges but does not show the picture. Neither will the monitor show the picture. There were pics already taken and I can view them on the monitor. However, if I snap a picture it just turns out black. What is really weird is that if I twist the lens casing, it will show the view. I snap a picture which is stored ok but when it comes to the next pic, the view is blank again. That worked a few times now the view is permanently blank except for the info bits around the view. Any suggestions other than throw it out? This is the worst camera I have ever owned, its bulky, the pics are so so, and I have hardly used it and it doesnt work. I have another camera that I always use when dirty conditions and other risks exist and it just wont stop working. I will not buy another Olympus.
