This is a fantastic image as is the rest of your portfolio, a number of which could have been chosen for POW. The thumbnail on the front
photo.net page doesn't do it justice at all since there is so much space in the image. I love the glare off the parasol. I just don't
understand the choice of clothing for the model.

I see what you are going for, and it mostly works. I just think the tilt is too severe that it becomes a distraction.

I didn't see the color, but this image begs for color. Couple things to think about: you cropped off all the trees. The wood is dead center in the middle of the bottom of the frame. Maybe if you shot lower and gave it more weight it would help. The image lacks anything that draws your eye in.

This is a great image John. What would make this really awesome is to photoshop out the three leaves on the right and reshoot with the foreground leaves in focus too. But I'd love to see this printed large and hanging somewhere. Bravo.

John. I recognized your name and took a peek to remind me of your portfolio. You certainly don't need a critique from me! Many of your images are awesome. This just doesn't do it for me. There's no focus of attention. And the tree stalk in the middle left going up is distracting. But, heck, you've got a 200/2. Good for you. Go have fun!

I think this would look a lot better if you cropped out a little on the bottom and the branches on the right. You could still retain the 2:3 ratio. Very nice.

This is very attractive. But there's little to anchor the image. i bet if you cropped out the bottom quarter, the sky would get more weight and draw your attention to the scale of the rocks.

This is stunning. I like the square crop. I wish I could see this full size on my screen to see the detail in the bird. Wonderful.

At first I didn't know if I liked the black background, but that kind of makes the image interesting. Done in photoshop I suppose?

Is this a good action photo? What would you do differently?

This is truly gorgeous. Where is this beautiful locale? There is another photographer here, I thought I had him in my favorite persons list from Australia who posted some similarly highly saturated images like this. I cannot seem to find him. I thought it was Tony Dummett, but I checked and maybe he's changed his images. Really nice. Looks like large DOF. Digital/film?

Postcard quality to it. That's not a negative. The light is really nice: looks golden sun on the shore and the shadows aren't black. Bravo!
