The Allman Brothers Band used to hang out in this cemetery (Rose Hill
in Macon, GA.), and they named a song after this statue. Being in
Atlanta on a business trip, I decided to drive down to Macon and
visit.

This is nice - I'm always looking for "pictures within pictures" if you know what I mean. I'm not really sure you could've captured it much better, considering the light - but it might be interesting to see it at another time of day. I would've spent all day at this location!

This was taken in Angel Canyon, just outside of Kanab, Utah. This
image covers an area about 3 feet square - but looking at the print
there's no scale at all. It almost looks as if it could be a cliff
wall hundreds of feet high. Thanks for looking, Mark

This was taken in Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, N.Y. I used a red
#25 B&W filter to bring out the clouds as much as possible. Perhaps
they're too dramatic? I like this spot and return at least once a
year. Ansel Adams spent alot of time in Rochester back in the 1950's
and 60's, and made some pictures of this statue. Thanks for looking,
Mark

I know, not much detail in the foreground... Printing this one is tough - 3 or 4 seconds for the grass, and then burn the sky for about 2 minutes. All I had on me was my red #25 - a polarizer might have given the same effect without such a loss in speed. Thanks for the comments, Mark

This was taken last summer up in Button Bay State Park in Vermont,
which is on the NE shore of Lake Champlain. The clouds this night
were so amazing, but I didn't just want to point the camera up and
take another cloud picture - so I spent about 30 minutes frantically
driving around, trying to find something I could put in the
foreground - at least to give the picture some scale. I was losing
the light and had to settle for the tall grass/weeds seen here. The
mountains in the background worked pretty well, I think. This one is
REALLY hard to print! Thanks for looking, Mark

This was taken at Fort Niagara, on the shore of Lake Ontario. People
have told me I need to burn down the light on the right wheel, but I
like it as is. Any comments appreciated! Thanks, Mark
