Who needs a microscope when you've got an iPhone?? :-)) A tree within the leaf.  I'm always amazed how life repeats itself over and over and over... especially in nature. Love this one, Stephan!

Another beauty! Solitude, quiet, calm... Makes me want to hop in the car and go up there for the weekend but too many obligations pending. Thank you for the momentary respite. I'll keep the memory of it with me as I go about my day.

Fading of summer... and reflections of youth gone by. A universal image, Stephan, where we can all relate to those memories of being young with lots of carefree time. Too bad you can't somehow get this image to those kids; I know they would appreciate it sometime not too far in the future.

When I was a child, my family and I had talked for weeks about visiting the GOLDEN Gate Bridge; I had beautiful visions of it shimmering in the sunlight. It seriously bothered me when I finally saw it for the first time  and discovered it was RED (or orange as they call it)! I kept asking my parents why they would call it golden if it wasn't... !

Sunflower in all her radiance! This one really glows... and the detail is remarkable.

This does have a nostalgic look to it... perhaps because I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley and this FEELS like "home" to me, especially with the wonderful Sierra's in the background.
