    stones and flower

          1

    Hello

I would like to receive advise e.g. arrangement. I used daylight and a

little camping head light. I played around with color but decided that

black and white would be the right thing. I guess I have to start

somewhere and should not expect to make excellent pictures; but I am

    keen to learn.

    Cheers

This is the first time for a while that I took some time to follow an

idea to what I would like to take a picture of. I arranged a lounge

table and placed the stone in the middle. I tried several times with

ordinary light but it did not work. I turned the light of and placed a

head light with some led lights above the stone. I measured the

exposure time and as it came up with 25 seconds I had the idea to use

the self timer of the camera. I pushed the shutter, walked to the

headlight and roted it above the stone for 25 seconds. It seems to

be hard to take a good picture of a stone without studio equipment but

    I did my best.

    Comments and tips welcome.

    Cheers

    Hello,

I am by far not an expert and I am learning myself how to take good pictures. It looks to me as if the bird is a bit out of focus, especially at the belly. I like the contrast of the colors but for me personally the bird is too much in the center. I wonder how it would look like without the green at the left hand side of the branch with the bird placed more at the right corner? I would also try to capture the moment when the bird starts to fly.

    I hope that helps

hello, I wonder if there is too much of that little tree in the foreground and if only the branch in the middle would be better suited as foreground further left? For me personally it could possibly be a reasonable black and white photo situation.

I am still practicing with a digital camera and different photo

programs . When I transfered the picture from my camera onto the

computer I tried to remember when I had been near mountains. It took

me a few seconds to realize that I took a picture of a rock above a river.

I would like to receive comments and advise!

    Thanks

Great Photo! I do like the chaotic structures of the branches. It somehow feels really mystic and I like the idea that the picture gives space for questions (what time of day, what weather conditions and so on)

    Hello,

I am still at the stage of practicing with my Sony Alpha 200. It seems

to me that I have a drive to take pictures of flowers and I try to get

as close as possible. I like the water drops on that picture.

    Comments are welcome!

I do like the picture and think that being centered gives me the impression as if it were to grow out of the picture. I personally think that sometimes placing objects in the center can be the appropriate thing to do!

I went into the garden a day before my daughter was born to give my

wife and myself a bit of space while labour was starting. For me the

picture symbolizes the blossoming of a new life.

I would be happy about comments.
