  1. Hi Erik,

I have a similar lens, it is the Apo Ronar 16/1800. Same as your Goerz, it was made for reproduction at scale 1:1.

Image circle at scale 1:1 is 2800mm ( yes, 2,8 meters ! ), but you can use it at infinity as well on 8x10", and with

    some restictions up to 1350mm.

Can I buy your lens ? ( contact is <520058284827-0001@t-online.de> ). I can tell you more details on your lens, if you give me

some weeks for resurch. My friend owns the same Georz, and maybe I will test it in my optical lab.

  2. A lot of lenses will show a very high resolution on pictures taken on this high resolution

film and proper processed with this special designed developer. There are a lot of lenses

around with super high resolution, but they never were able to show up with it. Simply,

there never was the right film/deveoper combination. A lot of Zeiss lenses are good, but

not all, same with Nikon, Canon and others. I am working in the high resolution business

the last twenty years. What counts is, that you love your lens, that the lens gives resolution

in the edges, and you love your photos. Personally, I would like to take a picture of the

    moon, that shows the Apollo vehicle - or not ... . . . . . . .

    check it out !

  3. Hi Vivek, I am the Joker !

Surveilling the scene, I have to realize, that you are very serious about high resolution

lenses like Topogon, Aviogon, Falconar, S-Planar, S-Orthoplanar,Apo EL NIKKOR, Printing

NIKKOR, Apo Germinar W and all those goodies. Can I help you with that ?

The Topogon 5,6/180mm is really the proud of the Carl Zeiss Photogrammetry Division,

    as they told me.

I am working on a solution to control the shutter of the Topogon OFF-SEG 6.
