1.
Hi Rakesh,
Thanks for the reply. I looked at joomla, drupal etc but it feels like they might be an overkill for what I am looking to do! But then again, I do not see much out there that would provide me the flexility/features like password protection etc :(
So I am feeling that I might have to end up using one of these CMS products like Drupal etc. From what I see these products have a steep learning curve but I guess I just have to do it.
Out of Drupal, Joomla, Gallery, which one do you recommend? Also any pointers would be greatly appreciated by anyone?
Thanks

  2.
Honestly, when I looked at the picture initially, I had no reaction. But after reading the story behind it, I thought that this was the cutest thing and the technical issue (sharpness etc.) were almost irrevelant after that. Keeping in mind I am in the initial stages of becoming a "real photographer" and am still going through the pixel-peeping stage, I would even then say, THIS IS A KEEPER. Most of people that would see this picture would probably overlook the technical issues (which is not much to start with). Only if there was a way you could tell the story behind the picture to anyone that will see the picture because in my opinion, knowing the circumstance around the picture what really makes this picture.

  3. Why cant they just use a bigger sensor to provide some sort of buffer (around a "cropped" frame) to accomodate for movement? So this will allow the camera to be used in either IS-on:"cropped frame" OR IS-off:"full frame mode". I do not think it requires that much more processing power! Maybe they can also use the LCD as the "viewfinder" in IS-on mode? BTW, I am new to SLR/digital technology so I am not sure if all this is possible or not :)
  4. I bought my camera (digital rebel) about two weeks and today all of a sudden noticing the same problem you are - where the camera is having hard time focusing and the images seem kind of blurry in the viewfinder. I am thinking it is due to humidity since today is the first day its been humid since I got my camera. Has there been a significant increase in humidity where you are? Did you take your camera from AC to non-AC enviroment?
  5. I have had my Canon Digital Rebel for about two weeks now. Today all of a

sudden I am noticing extremely slow focusing with both my lenses (50mm/1.8 and

    70-300 IS USM).

Today is the first day where its really humid since I got my camera. Could the

slow focusing be due to the humidity? I am thinking there might be some

condensation build up in the camera since the camera was in the car with A/C

on right before I took it outside and notice the problem.

    THank you,

    -uday

  6. I purchased a Canon Rebel XT few weeks ago. Couple of days ago I experienced the same problem where the shutter failed to release. After several failed attempts it started to work again on its own. During a wedding party I came across another user of Rebel XT and he had experienced the same problem several time in last few months...
