  1. Hi

    sorry by mi ignorance!

can anyone confirm if the these adpator dont use internal glass (similar to FD to EOS DSLR adaptor)

I have a lot o good FD lens that I still use in my canon F1 (film) camera. Know I want to purchase a mirrorless digital camera.

By My budget only can purchace a sony alpha 6000 or a Canon EOS-M 5. I have confirmed that adaptor for FD to sony alpha bodies dont use internal glass, but I am not sure if for canon EOS-M use internal optical element or not. Only I am concerned in the fact that these models dont include a optical viewfinder.

I will use this camera in mountaineering landscapes ... any another suggestion that allow me to use my canon FD lens and with a optical viewfinder is welcome

    Tks a lot

  2. I need help to know if I can use my old vivitar 5200 TTL flash ( I used it with

my canon A1 ) in a new Nikon D70. several friends comment me that I could damage

the camera using this flash because the signal for digital cameras are

differents. Obiously I dont like damage the camera, and I dont know how I must

    prove it.

any comment and help is welcome

    thanks in advance

described as "for mamiya 645 pro and TL" .

I would like to know if these focusing screens are compatible with the 1000s.

  4. (if this question it is not applicable in this forum, I would like that anyone

tell me which is the best forum to post it!)

I am looking for information about when begin to be used the background

    defocused in portraiture.

I just have participated in a history Photography workshop and in it was told

that the defocused background is strongly related with the SLR cameras coming,

because with RF cameras was not possible to see the defocused background as a

pre-image and only was possible imagine it. Personally I dont agree because the

first SLR camera appear in 1936 and before this fact we had i.e. the pictoralism

and the floue and they used defocused image concept. Also in that years the

photographers had a strongly knowledge about optics and DoF. I dont find

information about this issue, then any suggestion, link, comment, etc is welcome!!!

  5. Can I use my Vivitar 285HV flash with my new Canon EOS 20D?

    I just have pourchased a Canon EOS 20D, also I have severals FD Canon ( F1, A1,

AE1)and I use this flash with them. I want use in the 20D my Vivitar 285 HV

flash. I dont need sofisticated flash, then this possibility allow me to save

money at this moment. I have consulted several magazine topics and they are not

conclusives, sameone comment that "it is not convenient to use universal flash

with digital cameras, others comment that do not must use universal flashes with

digital cameras, but anyone explain why!, other article comment that the vivitar

285 HV and the Metz 45 are able to run perfectly in digital canon cameras.

Obviusly I dont like destroy my new Canon, Then until now I dont have connected

    the Vivitar flash in it!.

Please , any comment or recomendation?

    thanks in advance, dario

  6. Please:

I have received a canon FL mount 55mm f1.2 lens in mint condition.

I like use it in my canon A1 body. My concern is related to if this is possible

or not, because a friend told me that the levers in FL and FD mount are

differents and if I use this FL lens in the A1 body I will damage the camera.

Really I have seen the rear part of both lens (I have a FD mount 50mm f1.4 SSC)

and the FL lens has only one lever and the FD has two levers.

apparently the related position of this levers is the same for the both lens ,

but the shape of levers are different.

sorry by my bad english lenguage, any comment is wellcome

    thanks in advance, dario
