Curious, I am using Firefox but I still see the ads. Is there an option I need to set to not display them?

From what I understand there will be no more "paid" subscriptions. Seems as though the PN gods value the almighy buck more than the users that have made it what it is. Well, when enough people leave, the advertisers will not like the low traffic figures and they will bail out as well.

Well, I have had PN and Zenfolio running for awhile now. The new look is in my opinion inferior and the ads (yes, its spelled "ads" people) are not placed or sized well at all. I am a paid member and one of the reasons I paid was to get rid of the advertising.

I think my initial point has been lost here. I don't mind getting a 3 if it is legitimate but I would like to know who left it. Is it not fair to know who you are being judged by? I would only like to know so I could ask how I could improve the image. The point of sharing our images, at least in my case, is to learn and become better. I don't have any insecurities in regards to my photography, I just think it is fair to be able to ask the people who rate my images a question or two. If thats not reasonable then why post your images at all then? It's nice to hear good things about your work but I also enjoy hearing whats not good as well and when you get a low rating and have no way of asking why then I have a problem with that.

I am sick of posting an image only to have it instantly rated 3 by some

anonymous dweeb. It would be nice if you had to have at least 10 images on this

site with at least an average rating of 4 or higher before you could rate others

work. Are there any others here that feel the rating system here is wacked?

Capture NX has improved distortion control to help with this problem. Adobe's raw convertor has tools that will help as well.
