  1. The Flexbody was designed to use Hasselblad lenses & has less tilt & shift to stay withing the smaller image circle of those lenses.

The Arcbody has more generous movements & is designed to be used with large format type lenses (i.e., Rodenstock) that have larger image circles.

There are other differences to be sure but that's it in a nutshell.

I have seen this sort of fogging with my Horseman 6x9 holder in a Busch Pressman. The vertical line along the edge of the frame is a bit of flare reflecting off the edge of the opening in the camera's film standard that reveals the film gate in the holder. If this is a flat surface, there is more of an opportunity for this reflection. Better cameras have the hole edges angled or they may be thin enough that it's not an issue.

I resolve the problem in my case my using some adhesive-backed anti-reflective paper from Edmund Industrial Optics.

    Good Luck!

The extension tubes are cheap compared with a PE 105mm macro lens.

If you are not using a metered prism you will have to calculate an extension factor with the extension tube. A different extension factor is needed for each focal length lens you use it with.

You cannot (95% sure on this one) stack extension tubes. Since I only have one tube, this is a non-issue for me.

You will get decent quality with an extension tube & most of the Bronica lenses.

Extension tubes are a very cost-effective means of doing macro photography, despite the drawbacks.

    Good Luck!

I had a similar problem with my Bronica ETRSi a few years back. Turns out it was a shutter control module in the camera that had failed.

It cost me about $160USD & a week or so turn-around time.

Contact an authroized Bronica repair shop (listed on the Tamron web site) as your first step.

    Good luck,

You need the Bronica SCA adapter for the Bronica (Sunpak part no BR-1D). This has a dedicated 6-pin circular plug that connects to the camera on the lower left panel.

I have used this combination for several year now using the standard non-metered prism.

Although I cannot verify this, I have heard that the metering system of the AEIII prism is not compatible with the TTL flash system.

    Good Luck!
