<p>I have a 5d that i use as a backup to my 1d. There is no doubt that that the 1d can take quite a beating. I am just about the most clumsy photog you will ever meet. I have droped my 5d on the wet rocks at the bottom of a waterfall and sustained sever cracks in the body. I have still not noticed a problem with the performance of the 5d (except that the flash sits crooked on the slanted hot shoe). I am actually reluctant to get it fixed for fear that the repair job might screw it up.</p>

Michael, I would suggest a fast prime. I really enjoy my 85mm f1.8.

Alesia, I purchased three WL 800's about 6 months ago. I have had to turn down to 1/4 to 1/2 power in just about all situations. I dont see you needing to get 3200's unless your attempting to light huge buildings or massive architecture.

Your employer is obviously wanting you to do this. More than likely it will cost them dearly if they chose someone else, either in higher fees for quality or lost revenue due to poorer lowest bid quality. They know this. Thet want you. I would ask for $1500 per day plus expenses. Ownership of images should cost more.
