-

I have 3200 asa on my 300D with the firmware hack... Is there any hack for the 350d?
-
I'm just wondering; If you have a 5D and there is no other camera in the picture, then why do you need all that film that is on the table?
-
I own a 300D and a 20D. I installed the Hacked firmware on the 300d
and obtained the FEC control directly with the "jump" button, but I
can't find the function on my 20D. Do anyone knows how to access
the FEC funtion on the 20D.
Thanks for any help.

Try the flash directly on the Camera ( with no cables attached ) just to see if it's a Flash problem or a Cable problem.

If you want to make an image with a shallow depth of field but the lighting conditions at ISO 100 will make you use F4, then changing to ISO 50 will let you use F2.8 and give you the depth of field desired. Am I wrong?
-
In That case the 50 setup will help by not having to use a ND filter in the certain cases that it would normally be needed. Or not?
-
Well then keep the 5D, sell the 20D and get the 1DMKII-N

Did I miss my science class or what?

F8 and your there!

I have the same lens but I shoot with a Canon 20D and It doesn't look as fun as your shot. I like the efect of the circular fisheye on Full Frame.
-
So despite that it is a 1D series body, it still doesn't match with the newer 5d sensor. I tought that 1D's were a step ahead of the prosumer bodies.

Hi, I've been searching to buy a full frame camera and I have two
candidates for almost the same price: 1. New canon 5D or: 2. An used
Canon 1Ds (not the Mark-II). Will the 5D give me better image
quality and less noise than the 1Ds? I know the benefits of a 1Ds
over the 5D but my concern is about image quality.

Non of the canon models support Write Aceleration, Its only a case of some faster writing cameras than others, I own a 300D and a 20D and of course that I'm aware that a 40X card is more than sufficient for a 300d, but we don't know what type of card brian is using. If the case is that he is using a 1X card, he "needs" a faster card.
-
Perhaps a faster mem card will help some.

Yes you can, put it in "M"

If you are planing to keep your DSRL, then the Tamron 18-200 is your choice, but I recomend you the Sony Cyber Shot DSC-R1 to fullfill all of your expectatives.

Have someone ever read about image quality? If you have a 20MP camera, but that day you are only are going to make some images for a magazine and need more space, just bring the image size down on the Menu. It's that simple.

It happened to me once on my 300D, but it wasn't the DOF button, it was my 18-55 EFS lens the one that had the problem ocasionaly. At the begining I also tougth that it was a DOF problem.
Try with other lenses before opening the camera case.

Hi Todd, I agree with almost everything that Bryan said except the speed, If you are using a 400mm lens you should at least shoot at a speed minimum of 400 (minimum 320 in the case that you are using a 1.6 crop factor camera like the 20d) or else you will have blurry pictures. I don't know if the ligthing conditions in that stadium.
For $999.00 Sigma has the 80-400mm is also a F 4.5-5.6 but it has Optical stabilizer that with let you shoot at lower speeds with out bluring but the AF is much slower than canon's.
Can 580EX control 420EX?
in Canon EOS Mount
Posted
Mark U says "The only downside to the 420EX compared with your 430EX is that it lacks manual power settings"
You can set the 580 in manual and also control the 420 manually from the 580 controls... I do it!
