Many thanks to all that have posted! FWI I spent a week based at Zion and visited Bryce and Kodachrome a couple of years ago and it was fantastic but I want to see new stuff. Based on some of the posts I am very interested in Page and the south rim of the GC along with MV. What do ya think?

I am calling on all the travel/nature guru's to advise me of a photo

plan for this trip. There will be no kids or spouses on this trip. I

have 5 days to myself and the camera. Monument Valley is the holy

grail for me- but I don't want to drive by other wonders of the

world.

going to a workshop in mono lake area but have 3 days without kids

and wife to photograph and explore! where would you go and

photograph? thanks deano

Will be traveling coast to coast in may to attend a nature workshop.

I want to carry my Lowepro photo treker aw but am fearfull its going

to have to be checked in. Any experences with what will be allowed

for carry on?

Am staying for a couple of days in early Dec. Would welcome any and

all suggestions for photography.

As a photo.net silent observer for years I'm shocked and dismayed to see several of the forum posters I've read and respected lose my respect so quickly. I've been quizzed at the parks before; and now I know why-- I have seen the enemy--he lives among us.

When you set the F-5 to dyn autofocus to you set it to servo or to continous?

I am staying at Zion NP for several days this month. Can I get

specific suggestions on what to shoot while there. Locations and

times for shots would be most welcome. I know I'll figure out alot by

being there but the input of photo.net users is priceless.

Have seen lots of threads about zion except for dead of winter. We

will be staying in the middle of dec. Any knowledge about reasonable

travel times to other areas around zion.

I have a bronica sqai with reg.6x6 back and love to shoot landscapes

and groups. The square format is not ideal for these applications

imho. If I get a 645 back will I be happy. Suggestions ? I see

threads all the time about 6x6 vs 645, but have not seen discussion

about converting 6x6 cameras to 645's via a dedicated back.
