The setting was the dressing room (hence the brides shoes). The little girls mother had just left and she was watching her leave the room. A bit aprehensive about the ceremony to come and being left with a very busy room. You can also see the dress in the mirror that was hanging a little sloppily on the side. I was wondering if it would be better if it were skinnier and the second mirror was taken out. But that may be difficult. Thanks for your comments. I think I do like the lights though. I hate to crop the top of the mirror.

Nice shot, beautiful lighting great shine in the lips... BUT I do not see much of a shadow under her chin which doesn't define her face and makes her look a little chunkier (not much just a tad). I would bring her chin down and move her head more torwards the left to give her a nice shadow across her nose (plus it will help to take some of the roundness out). It will help to add some drama. Also I would crop it down and leave out the space at the top. You already cut into her head a bit so now you might as well really do it!!

It is pretty uncommon for me to put something in critique without some sort of photoshopping. This is actually straight out of the camera. I thought I should mention that.

Thank you for the well thought out critique. When I shot this photo I turned to my assistant and said this looks like a painting. I do have a background in painting and I am always looking for dark dramatic lighting like this. Thanks again, Susan

Actually you can see a third set of hands in the distance. That is the mother. This is the brides aunt and then father. Yes they were supposed to be praying for the couple. Maybe the title isn't great. Thanks!

I absolutely love this one. The innocence of the child. The great focus on the face with a bit of blur on the hand. The first thing you see is the eyes of this little guy. It is almost like you can see the man inside this little boy. Great Job!!
