    Hello Sophie, I think the contrast matches the subject. Strong face, full frontal portrait set against deep shadowed background. It all works for me. Bravo!

    Hello Sharon, It is a brave step to show your photos to the world. Welcome. I feel that your photo is missing an idea. What are you trying to show us. The flower? The building? How are they related or are they? Yes, a strong composition element can be to have something in the foreground to lead the viewer into the photo. Here, the flower dominates too much. Oh yes, you have to "Photoshop" the date out of your photo! Best of luck.

    Hello Serif, I like the photo particularly the composition. However, I feel that the photo would be better served with some detail in the stone and wall. Greater contrast overall.

    Marc, beautiful photograph. Wonderful composition and exposure. I too, have a Canon 5D and just cannot believe how wonderful this camera is. I look forward to seeing more great shot like this from you. Canon rules!!
