Thank you for the comment. I agree that the light is too strong in the center. Tried B/W but not enough contrast for my taste. -

Kid is cute with nice expression...but the background is cluttered. Which makes it look like a regular snapshot. The flash hot spot on the box behind the child distracts from the picture. On the good side, the subject looks properly exposed, although not very sharp. You might try using a flash in a position other than on the camera or using bounce flash.
