Trevor: it would appear that Velvia 100 is being marketed as 100DL in Britain.
In response to another post of yours re: E6 processing, I used to use 7dayshop I believe it
was called in The Channel Isles, both for processing and purchase of film. They were by far
the best price some 5-6 yrs ago. Of course that may of changed by now.
Velvia 50 has it's place. For instance when shooting water falls or rivers etc to get that
milky look to the water that extra stop stop slower in film speed is very handy. Not exactly
M work though! It's a year now since I bought my 7 and the first roll of film thru it was
100F at a local garden nursery. The colours were just incredible closest thing to 3D when
projected!

I've had one for the past 4 months now and find it everything I needed and a whole lot
more. The 16:9 format is fabulous, more natural than any other. It shoots in RAW and Tiff
with full auto everything if required or full manual when needed. The lens is what you
would expect from Leica. A great stable mate to the M7.
The only advise I would give is to buy the Panasonic -LX1 and save yourself a small
fortune, to pay nearly double for a red dot doesn't make any sense to me, however a
dealer told me that the Leica was out selling the LX1 at his store!

I had a similar problem with my M7 only with Astia 100F. The ISO reading would flash 25
on DX or manually selected to 100 when first turned on, it got to the point where I didn't
trust it at all.
I was about to send it back to Leica but then stopped using Astia in that camera and things
have settled down to normal, very reluctant to ship the camera away as the down time is
quite long.
Every other film works fine no matter the ISO. Must try another roll of Astia this weekend
as problems don't go away by burying your head in the sand, thanks for reminding me!

Well..I must admit the only time I really inhale is below 1/15th of a second!

And the lens! A 'cron 2-2.4 7-22.5mm Surely this is a big tease?

This seems like a good time to sign up. Have been a voyeur - with a 'Lust for Leica' rather
than anything carnal - for several months. Finally acquiring a 7 and several pieces of glass
with the idea it would be far more convenient to carry on trips rather than the Nikon gear
but now find I canメt afford to travel! Live in Halifax, Nova Scotia have lived on both coasts.
Originally from London (the big one). Look forward to making a few contributions in the
future and ムmeetingメ new friends.
Cheers, Geoff
