1.
I have a doubt. It's easier for me to explain with an example.
I want tu cut the right side of my picture, keeping the ratio: i.e. 22x15. But the subject is too close to the horizontal border of the frame, so I decide to cut the vertical right area that I don't want in the composition but to keep all the horizontal area by reducing the dimention not with a cut but pushing upwards the image with the Transformation (?) tool. Now the image seems deeper, with a better angle too and I have got my goal. But I don't know what it's happened to the pixels of the image. There is somethig not advisable in this work?
Thanks very much for the help.

  2.
Excuse me for trying a suggestion while I post photos in PN since a few days only (even if registered in 2006). I think that Presentations is a beautiful section that I like very much and that it may be a strong feature for Photo.net. The problem is that it is almost invisible: nothing when opening the photographer's portfolio, no critique and rating gallery, no Photo gallery, Random image, no Top rated, photographers, portfolios, new photos, no Photo of the week and Editor's picks. Everything posted there seem unnoticed by the Community. This is a first impression and I may be wrong. I hope so.
Thanks for the attention.

  3. This is my first post. I have just finished to read the 100 pages (yes 100!) of my search: Layers. I have found not only all

that I needed to know about Layers but I learned an ocean of different things, very useful and very practical. I went round

with many forums in my long (unfortunatly) life but no one has, I think, the same honest pleasure in helping the others

photographers. So I decided to write hoping to find an answer for a couple of doubts about LAB. I love its colors and the

easy way you can change color tonalities with Curves. But when I need to change the Color Mode in LAB or go back in

RGB and there are Adjustement Layers in the stack PS obliges to flatten all layers, or at least the Adjustement layers. There

is a way, a trick, for avoiding this? The same thing happens when I go in Lab> Luminosity for sharpening and contrasting.

The same risult can be reached with Luminosity of the Blending Mode or of Edit> Fade?

    Thank you very much.
