I guess the sigma and a 18-70 would be better for optics as a priority, while 18-200 would be better in terms of portability. You have to decide on your priorities.

Will a specialist 85 aw fit a d70s, 17-55 dx, 70-200vr, sb-800, 105
macro, with some accessories comfortably with space to spare?

Think the nikon version is called the SD-8A. Theres a comparison on Moose Peterson's site.

definitely use a fast lens perhaps a 50 f1.8 or even a 50 f1.4

Sling your camera bag over the tripod and spread the legs where possible. Use the tripod with minimal leg extension.

The camera workshop has great service and prices. Cathay photo is one of the major dealers of things in Singapore. Visit www.clubsnap.com to find out the most. Price lists are available in the forum.

Do you think that Nikon will issue a price drop on 70-200vr or 17-35 afs. Im new and hence have no experience with Nikon trends...

Im now using a d70s, and want to upgrade my 18-70 lens. after some
searching, I am rather interested in the 17-55 dx. However, my prime
concern is that there will be a FF DSLR from nikon soon, making the
17-55 obsolete. Should I just get the 17-35 for security against FF?
