I welcome your comments as I try to improve.
please see more of my recent pictures of Nice, France in my portfolio.
I was lucky to experience beautiful light, dramatic skies and a
lightning storm on my last evening there!

taken with nikon d200 and 60mm macro lens. i see this little guy on
my hydrangea bush almost every morning.

thanks for your comments and compliments. this was taken in natural light only (no flash), he was looking toward the recently risen sun.

Captured a special moment between mother and child...
-
i like how this romantic moment lends a sense of scale to the monument.

Shot this last night during the lunar eclipse. merged 4 shots taken
at interval in PS using lighten layer mode. i wish i had planned on
doing this - i would have set up and taken shots at better intervals!
thanks for looking.

love the colors and the details in this shot. it's beautiful. i also like some of the other hummingbird shots. however, in many of your other shots in this group, the birds (and colt) are striking portraits, but your photo-retouches are too obvious and distracting.

wish i could have caught the mother with more light in her face...

This 2 day old sandhill crane chick burrowed into the tail feathers of
his mom and emerged as shown here a few moments later...the series of
events was precious to observe...see more in my 'animals' folder.

Rapid fire during canon shots with my D200 yielded this shot. this is
one of the only frames with visible flames out of probably a hundred.
-
would love for some of you to check out my gallery...thanks for looking.

i thought this was hysterical - one of those rare moments in nature...
