Nice action shot, makes me wish I had been there.

A trim to get rid of the white advert at the top would improve it.

I took this about 45 years ago using Adox KR 17 film, an excellent

film very fine grain, Pentax S3 camera with AutoTakumar 85mm lens and

bounced flash from an umbrella. I would appreciate any comments.

I cut this shell in half to see what the inside looked like. Took the

pic because it had a nice pattern to it.

Chepstow was built during the reign of Edward 1st Put in place to

help subdue the Welsh.

This one is cropped I can't make up my mind which I prefer.

Taken at a florist's shop. I was struck by the delicate colouring on

the red edge and the cream petals.

This little flower was in a boquet given to a neighbour for a

present. She very kindly allowed me to take a picture of it.

Thanks for your kind words, On looking at it again I think I agree the bales could be cropped out with advantage or maybe I will try to 'clone' them away.

Yes I like this, also the way in which the 'lead in' is not central but to the left at the bottom of the picture.

Yes but just think; about 700 years ago without the modern aids which make things so simple today: these stone masons were able to calculate a method of transferring strain and weight so that the arch and tower above did not collapse ! ?

Beautiful sky. I would suggest a trim from the bottom of the pic - maybe to the bend in the river with the right side of the bend being the cut-off point?

As it is [in my opinion] the base is a little too solid and black.

Wells Cathedral is a building in which I can lose time endlessly. So

many things to see, so much to take pictures of.

A set of five pics joined by Jasc After shot which I find to be a

good programme for this sort of thing. Hand held and framed by using

the focus framing of the 7D to line up the horizontals. 'line-up'

take, move 'line-up' again - take etc.

Lovely 'brooding' look about this, made even more striking by the whiteness of the cumulo nimbus clouds

This is ideally suited by the colour, which gives an air of desolation. Sombre and gloomy it emphasises the disintegrating old building.

Pete, again, Forgot to say I didn't mind you cropping at all. It is good to see other folks suggestions in situ rather than in words.

I don't mind what any photo.net member does if they can show me a new - or different approach to taking or printing pics.
