1.
I bought a Yongnuo 560-III speedlight last fall. It's not working and my attempts to get Yongnuo to give me an address to send it to for repair or replacement under warranty have been useless. They want me to send it back to the seller (Amazon). Anybody with experience dealing with Yongnuo on warranties?

 2.
I need to find a source to get some prints done on aluminum. They need to be a custom size (9.5" x 12.0"). And they need to hold up in an outdoor mounting where they will be exposed to the weather. So far I have not found a company to do that work for me. Any suggestions? BTW, that custom size is important. They may be going into some existing frames and need to be that size to fit.

 3.
My HP 7960 seems to have finally become obsolete because one of the inks is no longer available from HP. I do some printing of marketing related images on canvas and want to continue with that. The format for the printer is 8.5" X 11" and I'd like to stay with that since I have lots of print paper that size and it suits my needs in general. Single sheet feed would be fine. I don't print a lot of images, but high quality printing is important. I do both B&W and color. Suggestions anyone?

 4.
I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that when I upload an image to my page that something is happening that introduces a severe color shift. It's not my browser. I have looked at the image on photo.net in IE, Firefox, and Chrome and it's the same. This has not been a problem until recently and I have been on Photo.net for 8 years. I don't think I'm doing anything that would cause that shift, but if I can do something to fix that problem, let me know and if it's a Photo.net problem, please fix it. I'm attaching a jpeg with the image I uploaded above the version I copied from my page on Photo.net.

00bo5h-541212084.jpg.895d3c46c4b7219faf0d669e717e90ed.jpg

 5.
FWIW: I just finished a two week photo vacation and used a Lowepro Mini Trekker Classic and was very pleased with it. I packed my 5DII, 70-200 2.8 IS, 24-105, 50 1.4, a Zeiss 28 2.0, batteries, cards, filters and cleaning supplies. The bag is not too large considering the load. It looks like an ordinary backpack. When I fly I always carry my camera gear into the cabin, so it doesn't need a lot of protection. So, I recommend that bag. It was cheap too. I got mine used from B&H for about $50.

 6.
Once opon a time I could go to a different page on Photonet quickly. No more. I'm sure you are aware of that. I find that lag and those waits to be really annoying. My guess is that costs members and visitors who don't want to put up with it. If the management can speed things up (a lot) that would be good, might even keep the site alive.

 7.
Marc, here's my suggestion: Get a softbox with a set of compact flourescent bulbs. I got a Cowboy Studio setup recently. It came with a 24" X 32" softbox, a light stand, five bulbs (individually switched). It's a WYSIWYG setup, so there's less guesswork than with a strobe setup and it's inexpensive (under $100). Now it is cheaply made and needs some TLC to last, but for getting started in doing lit portraits I think it's a good way to go.

 8.
It needs to be a 8bit jpeg and Photo.net will resize images that don't fit (are too large), but I think the best thing is to start off with an appropriate size, like a maximum of 1,000 pixels high or wide, whichever is larger. That is something easily done in Photoshop using file/scripts/image processor.

 9.
I think you will show up in the members directory, but you should give it another day or two.
If you looked under the "GALLERY" tab and did a search by topic hoping to see your images you should know that only the top rated images show up there. They need at least five ratings and the average needs to be at least five. Unfortunately, those galleries of rated images are not accurate. I guess there are software or server problems in that part of the site. I have seen images there with a rating below mine and mine don't show up, at least not where they should be.

 10.
I think showing genitals or nipples in photos on Facebook gets you kicked off if people complain. A buddy of mine who shoots nudes and posts on Facebook has been kicked off. Now he obscures or crops out those body parts. Ouch!

 11.
I certainly have noticed that a lot fewer people are on Photo.net than used to be and there are probably multiple factors involved. One thing that affects my affection is that the site changes pages very slowly. It's like being back on dial-up. It can easily take 15 seconds to go from one page to another, both in my stuff and in others. It takes a lot of the entertainment value out of moving around on the site.
One other thing to consider too: Everything has a lifespan. Maybe Photo.net is near it's end.

 12.
Hey Guys,
Thanks for taking the time to share your suggestions with me. I have bought a 20x20 softbox and a set of radio triggers to go with the 420 EX and a stand I already had. If this ends up being something I want to pursue as a type of photography then maybe I'll upgrade or try other types of flash tech.
Thanks again
