Thank you everyone for you help. I did get the ELAN 7NE. I must say the camera is smaller than my 650. As much as I want to just pop in a roll and start I have some reading to do.

I do think I will stick with the E. I will just turn it off when I am in my work setting. I do have to use manual macro quite a bit, working as an investigator. That is where the eye control question came from.

I am looking to upgrade from my EOS 650 and have been looking at the

Elan 7n and 7ne. Has anyone had problems that I should be aware of

so I may want think about another series?
