I think that the Leica/Leitz P mount projectors (e.g. P2000, P2002, Color 2, C/CA2500/2502, C/CA1500) use a P lens not a P2. The Leica Super Colorplan P 90mm f/2.5 is a great lens!

The recommended by John Harper transformer seems good (300W power). The fan motor and the changing slide mechanism will be a bit faster though, running on 60Hz.

I'm not sure about the following info, but it is worth for reading it. Leica Colorplan P2 (or Super) projection lens is for all P2 Leica Pradovits (P150, P300, P300IR, P600, P600IR etc.) and, only with the proper focusing sleeve or adapters, it fits on the big Leica/Leitz P mount projectors (e.g. P2000, P2002, Color 2, C/CA2500/2502, C/CA1500), the PRO mount Leica Pradovit RT-m/RT-s. The lens can be used satifactorily on most P mount projectors (P and P2 mounts have the same 42.5mm diameter, but the back focus is shorter in P2 lenses, so a P2 lens sits further out when focused; you only run into problems when trying to project on a small screen (short throw) as the lens may be too wobbly in the mount or even fall off.

The answer may be there: http://www.photo.net/leica-rangefinders-forum/00EK3V

Does this simply designate that the 37226 lens is part of the Colorplan, or does it indicate a optical element that needs to be mounted separately?
I think it means that to project 40x40mm slides with the Colorplans you need 37227 + 37226 elements in the condenser instead of the respective elements for 24x36mm slides.

For years I've used Gepe 3mm slide mounts with glasses and 2mm glassless ones, with no problems. The projector is a Pradovit P2002 similar to yours and I've used the DIN 50 slide tray.
