  1. Jennifer-

But if someone clicked on your name, for example from here, then it leads them to all your folders. I think the only time it will not be visible to public is if they directly went into your portfolio- for example; www.photo.net/photos/jennifer

Also, folders do not give me the option to sequence my photos like that in the 'presentations'. I might want to choose some photos from a folder towards a presentation and completely hide that particular folder from public view.

  2. For $25/year, I am more than happy with the quality of service I get

on this forum. However, the file management process can be vastly

improved. For example- I want to be able to upload multiple images at

the same time (many sites support this). And I want better control

over what images can be seen and can NOT be seen by the public.

Are there any plans for an enhanced process in the future?

    Thanks.

  3. Tien-

Thanks for the informative description between burst mode and continuous shoot mode. I was not continously holding the shutter button and was expecting it to automatically shoot multiple frames if I pressed the shutter button once. When I keep holding the shutter button it seems to be working as intended. This is what I was missing.

    Thanks.

  4. I like to print out some images- some 4x6, some 7x5 and a couple 12x18

or similar in size. If I print about 20 of these, seems like I will

end up paying about $75.00 at Wolf camera.

Question is: Is it better to buy a Canon printer like the Pixma

iP5200? this can print Letter size the largest. Does this provide

excellent quality prints? Any users here?

howmany 4x6 images can one set of color cartridges print on this

printer, assuming max resolution for each image?

    Any advise is appreciated.

  5. Thanks.

Sparkie- what I did was, simply shoot the white body of the guitar first. The lens was in Manual mode and the whole viewfinder was filled with nothing but the white guitar body. Now this was done under the same yellow lighting conditions. When the image came out, it looked yellowish(as expected). Then I assigned this new yellowish image to the custome WB function. I think this kinda tricks the camera into thinking that the yellow is White. Then I took the photo and voila....

    Hope this helps.

  6. Yesterday I had posted a question regarding white balance adjustments.

From various advise posted, I have been able to correct the problem.

The original post has been deleted, so I will restate the original

    question:

"I took this photo of a white electric guitar in my apartment. The

picture was taken at night. I had all the lamps turned on and together

they produced a yellow like light. I set the White balance to

"tungsten" and this was an improvement over AWB. However, the guitar

still appears yellowish in color. Any other

    suggestions to correct this color?"

I was able to shoot the guitar 'white' image under the same lighting

conditions and save it as a 'custom WB' in my camera. I retook the

picture using the custom WB and now the color is exactly as what I

    wanted.

First image is the original without WB correction.

Second image is with the WB custom selection. I hope this benefits

others who maybe having similar problems.

  7. You have to get the Canon- 50mm F1.8 Prime lens. It's only $75.00. It is a must for any Canon photo shooter. The picture quality will be outstanding. Way better than the kit lens you have. The better the picture quality, the more inspired you will be. Also, it will boost your confidence level while taking pictures.
  8. I recently purchased the Canon 50mm F1.8 lens. I am extremely pleased

with the quality of images this lens provides. I wonder how a $75.00

lens can provide such outstanding sharpness and color?

    I have a suggestion: Considering it's outstanding cost-to-quality

factor, is it possible to open a seperate image forum that will hold

images made from this lens only? Here people can post their favorite

images made from this lens. It can be a subset of the images already

    available here.
