    Christmas Dog #3

... & happy holidays to you & yours. I would have rated this the best in series due to the happy exposure lattitude! One can see the finer details in the little one's coat and the eye's shine with glee, here. Also feel the background is complimentary. -d.d.

Beautiful composition. Viewing this new folder made my day. Your unique style uplifts simple compositions far beyond ordinary. Thank you David, for sharing.

It is the cloud formation that brings this image far beyond oridinary and above most everyday sunset photos. They frame the boats like a pair of hands across the sky. Beautiful capture! ~d.d. (horizon is slightly off balance)

lols; We all have bad days, but there is no reason to be so rude. Charles freely gave his time & talent and you basicly slapped him in the face for doing so. Perhaps you have gotten a false sense of security here by so-called freinds praising your work. Everyone has room to learn so why would you think you are no exception? By putting images in the Crit Forum is asking for opinions, good & bad. If you do not agree please try not to be so nasty. As for this image. I have to ask What is the Subject? Resto is what you wrote. The image is split in two by the column serving no obvious purpose. The same can be said regarding the motion blur, confusing dof & blown highlights. Just my 2 cts. d.d.

I feel that everything came together in this image to make it successful. Love the colors. Black background is super. How you used the light mainly from the right (?) suggests a professional at work. Her blue eys are accented nicely through catchlights and her youthful skin tone is favored sweet. Congrats, ~charlene

I favor the treatment of light and water, though I rather see the boy's back as in your other version (of same). It allowed my imagination to have a free-er range. Hope this makes sense. Regards, ~d.d.

Very nice scene composed well. Colors in the building really make the image pop! I too agree with Alberto & Colin, regarding ps adjustment in lower half. Regards, ~d.d.

Great exposure. Dean, you have the most wonderful wildlife images. I'm sure you have much to offer (expertise). Thanks for sharing. ~d.d.
  1. Great capture! Even under controlled conditions such as studio work, I would think it hard to get this sweet dog to sit for any amount of time. Lighting, comp and dof are flawless. Leaves much to the viewers imagination. Cheers! ~d.d.
