moody and looming trees together with subject with long legs and upright position etc make it an effective shot...wide angle lens works well...subtle shot..simple and effective

    Hi David

recently joined site and only started to contribute today and i come across this!

My first car-i had a 1956 model (convertible) that cost me £50....yours must be around that time as it has the indicators that you have to hit now and again from the inside! However i dont see a split screen so maybe 1960 or so?

I had a two door 64 model that i drove round Europe in and owned for years. 1100 cc and cruised at 70mph. If they werent so overpriced i would buy one!

Still like old cars..let my wife drive the newer one while i now love the '87 Honda Prelude. Best car i have driven!

Oh yes your photos..they are very good. You understand lighting well and time of day. Pro or amateur...not that it necessarily makes a difference. I have been photographing professionally now for about 15 years full time. Just produced a book on Richmond in Surrey-big layout financially but have now broken even...maybe you should do same

    Good luck

Good shot-like the movement in hands of chef. Works better than if a static shot.

Also its good to see the person within the context of where he works.

Perhaps you could shoot at an angle alos but that isn't a criticism just a variation.

  1. Hi There,

Happen to know area around Biarritz and Guethary well and its well suited to shooting surfers in dramatic light.

This is a great shot-well considered in terms of lighting and time of day

Basque culture by the way is great!

    Love San Sebastien...
