I just bought a d50 and love it and highly recommend it. I would listen to the first post, in a ouple of years the technology will be better but at least I wanted to give you my take on the d50.

Thanks for the info guys. I feel a little silly now that someone pointed out that you multiply the resolution and you get your megapixel rate.

i bought a double pocket samsonite bag tha has a strap and belt loop from target. It works fine - they also come in single.

You can pretty much find a good one pretty cheap at walmart, office depot, etc. (I have a canon sd400)

I have a Canon SD400 5 megapixel point and shoot camera and I love it

for it's quality and compact design.

I have several questions.

It has 3 sizes that I can choose from

L = 2592x1944

M1 = 2040x1536

M2 = 1600x1200

S = 640x480

My question is the following. If the camera is a 5 megapixel camera

does it matter what resolution/size I use?

OR does the megapixels get smaller as i choose a smaller resolution.

I.E. L = 5megapixels, M1 = 4megapixels, M2 = 3Megapixels and S =

2megapixels?

Because I thought it the camera is 5mp then no matter what size i

choose it will have 5mp per square inch or some unit of measure.
