1.
Hi Ralph I recently sold my 4 years old 5D and bought a new great and impressive 7D. Like you I like to shoot in many different situations and till now I don't miss the FF. The AF on the 7D rocks.
2.
Hi Felix, thanks for your input. No, the old 5D does not have that priceless tool that is the microadjustment. So I think my only way of fixing my lens in relying on the Canon service.

  3.
Hi everybody, I need your thoughts about thic pic. Do you think this is a back focus problem? I used my 5D and my new EF 50mm f1,4. The photo was made using tripod and central focus point.

Many thanks.
4. Well I'll use this topic to say that my 70-300 was fixed in only three days. According to other posts the lens is now more stable when zooming than before. And the sharpness at 300 in vertical mode increased a lot. So for any other else who lives in Argentina I can tell that LAM Service (Canon official servive here) is a good place for sending your gear.

  5. Hi, I will try to make this story short. Last week I sent my 20D to the Canon

Service for a problem with the shutter button. They change it and the 20D is

with me again working like the first day. Up to here everything seems to be

fine, but after taking a couple of pics, when I download them to my PC, I

realize that the number of the pics were very different. When I sent the 20D I

was in the picture number IMG_1840 (11840), but after Canon the number was

IMG_9456. What happened here? It is possible that the Canon Service took almost

7000 pics in two days with my camera just for fixing the shutter botton? Of

course I'll ask them what happened, but first I want to read some of your ideas.

    Many thanks!

  6. Hi Puppy, please don't get ungry. I wrote my answer to Anders maybe in the same moment you were writing your post. So nothing of yours appeared at that moment.

Many thanks indeed for your contribution, and please excuse my english.

  7. HI Anders, thanks for your answer. The lens I ussualy use is the Canon 24-105L, but this thing happen with every other lens. It does not matter if the AF is on or off. I think that the problem belongs to the button (or its connectors).

  8. Hi,

I'm having problems with my shutter button. Sometimes, when I want to take the

picture the button doesen't respond (I have to press two or three times to get

it right). When I press half way for focusing I have no problems.

Any suggestion? Any idea how much money to fix it?

    Thanks,

  9. I always use filters to protect my lenses. And I can tell that it worth it. Last month my 20D hit the concrete, the lens hit the floor first and the onky damage was the filter. Maybe I was lucky, but Im still keeping filters attached to my lenses.
