To Larry, yes I should start considering to apply local effects. So far I only tweak curves and other global settings (by the way I should calibrate my display to get more precise exposure)

thanks a lot for the positive feed back. I agree pretty much with all what you say, concerning the density of the top, I chose to keep it very dark, this way it gives a 'painterly' effect. My only regret is that I didn't have a neutral density filter to blur a little bit the sea, this way I would have got details only on the rock to make it pop without pushing sharpening.

Hi Marc,
thanks for the critics, I understand the curtain image, it may in fact be a little bit to high. But talking about it, this picture was done thinking of a black framing. This changes noticeably the way you see it.
