Scale can add a dynamic to photography that is sometimes hard to capture...you've done it in spades. I believe a little tweaking of the exposure could make this a wall hanger.

This is a repost with changes made from critiquers comments.

This young mule deer buck was being chased by a pair of Golden

Eagles. The deer had an extreme case of conjunctivitis and as a

result had been laying up in our open wheat field. The eagles

apparently thinking he was dead attacked him with this photo being a

quick one of two captured.

What appears to be PS sharpening artifacts...are actually bread crumbs from Alexanders peanut butter and jelly sandwich !

I drove up on two golden eagles chasing this young mule deer buck and

this is the cleaned up and cropped image.
