1. Am I to stupid or is there really no way to automatically read my IPTC Data that come with every photo I want to upload? No description, title and keywords are read by photo.net. This is 2018!!! I do not want to spend time on uploading data again that are already stored in the file I upload. And concerning keywords: It is not acceptable to enter every single keyword!!!!!

Any suggestions that can help me?

    Nice regards

  2.
First you should do a AF microadjustment of your camera-lens-combination. Then you will notice that your 100-400 lens is a quite capable lens. It will become even better with a 5D3 because the AF is by far more exact than any camera (except 1DX) before. The next level would be the 200-400 which is an awesome lens, one of the best lenses you can mount to your camera, as one of the german magazines stated after a test of the lens and what I can confirm. For BIF I would not want to use it handhold because of the weight. But with a Wimberley head it is easy to handle for that purpose. BTW, I kept my 100-400 for trekking and landscape shots.
Just my 2 cent
3.
I went from 5D to 5D Mk II and now 5D Mk III. The Mk III is by far the best camera I ever had. I see a clear difference in image quality between the Mk II and the Mk III. But this might have to do with the phenomenal AF which is by far more exact than all what was before. For me the clear winner is the Mk III. The Mk II is resting as a backup body.
4.
Hi Laura, Siegfried,
thank you for your help so far. I do not remember exactly wether it came out of a root or the soil next to the tree. On this photo you look straigt down onto it. It is growing vertical and then bent sideward 90 degree. With Ganoderma lucidum you might be right, but then this is a rather young one, or?
Sorry for the late answer but I was off for a few days.
Nice regards
