just happened to log in again. pictures still active and i was able to log in. just read your reply Sandy; HOW CAN A SITE OPERATE LIKE THIS? to me it seems VERY UNprofessional, and like one person is doing all the work, and has apparently given up on every and anything that has to do with the site.

 

Just stating the facts.

 

So, when does things get done "in its time"? Only so many more years before it's another decade.... adios

If you get the history of my account, about three weeks ago I changed the name of my "nick" here from fototakernandalucia to fototakerWNY. That never worked, BUT I see the new nick still in the account name BUT the account name is still the old "fototakernandalucia"

 

I am deleting galleries right now, and many galleries are NOT deleting, or only a partial deletion is done, leaving a few images behind. Another work in progress?

 

I am sorry, but there are just way too many gulps and hiccups here. If I were to pay for my account, which I had once considered, then everything should work well. Heck, I haven't even received the decency of a reply to my original problem weeks ago.

 

Is there even an actual support dept of more than one person?

How long does this "work" require to get done? I think there must be a waiting line getting longer by the week..... and more joining the line :(

It still continues. Sometimes the upload goes without a hitch, but more often, it freezes and I have to do all the retyping of all keywords, descriptions, etc. It's a huge pain. Plus, I do not see anywhere where there is a opt out/close account button. I read another question of the same subject, and it was mentioned to lok in accounts. I just looked again in accounts, and there is NO close account button at all.

Same problem I had weeks ago (but several times). I just refreshed the page, then saw the images were uploaded after ll, BUT without any captions, titles, and keywords. You'll have to edit each pix affected, and place them into galleries. A real pain!

I had considered paying for membership BUT after uploading a bunch of images and getting froze out several times in the process, then thinking I lost the images I had uploaded. Actually what happens, is I'll find out later that the pixs DID upload BUT lost all the information I had painstakingly typed in for each image, I reconsidered my paying to be a member. Add to that, I wrote photo.net about this problem but they have ignored me, or are too busy snapping pixs in the outdoors, and it's been at least a week and a half ago when I contacted them. The upload problems were quite frequent and it's a huge pain having to retype ALL the keywords, image description, etc for each image, and it was a lot of images. Is anyone else having problems while uploading images and the upload freezes? Anyone else having problems and contacting management, and not getting any reply, or am I the only one? Thanks

<p>a few months ago i picked up a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4. i've never had a prime lens before, nor one with such a fast aperture. i tested it one night during a fire-jam in downtown San Francisco: fast- and slow-moving individuals, always on the move closer and farther and side to side motions; and spinning fire, usually the only light-source. i shot in ai servo and used the various focus point areas often as i usually do. i was shocked by how well the lens + camera modes worked even at f/1.4! i think your problem may be a result of the camera not being able to focus correcting based on the placement/use of the focus points. good luck!</p><div></div>

i was in phoenix last january and shot with a friend/model and wouldve enjoyed meeting some photogs, etc. i live in Eugene and had bussed to south TX for shooting a friend's wedding and was stranded due to icy/snowy highways...

buy the 400D - a bit late - the 400D has a sensor cleaner that works fantasticly! you'll never have dark spots on your pixs again! i bought one last sept and it's the best!

BUT they look too dam posed; throw a bit of flowers or sumthin' to get them more relaxed!! great idea though!!!

hiya.. i find this thread VERY interesting as I also have a D30 and am experiencing something somewhat similar. i seem to be getting black pixs only when i use the flash, no matter if use ext flash or on-camera flash. all other pixs not using flash are okay. any ideas? i'd hate to think the shutter has died however if this were the case, wouldn't this affect all shutter functions, flash and non-flash fotos too? any suggestions/advice welcomed!
