The vivid colors and juxtaposition with the bicycle tires, and the

resulting contrast between colors and shapes caught my eye. Would

    appreciate any feedback. Cheers.

Great image. Have enjoyed browsing through your portfolio. You have a great eye for composition. I love the simple nature of most of your subjects - Like this image, the stairs in Cuba, and the sunlit church. It brings out the strength of your compositions. Cheers.
  1. The patterns are on clayee mud in an old limestone quarry. I believe

they were formed by the freezing of the clay-water slurry. I would

love to get some feedback. Thanks for your input.

  2. Taken on a relatively warm winter morning in Syracuse, NY. Snow from

the roof was melting and dripping down on the fence, and had covered

the fence in an icy glaze. Would love to get some feedback. Thanks for

    your input.

Took this shot as an exercise in composition and texture. I was not

too happy with the blown out left hand edge - I tried to burn it in a

little. Would love some feedback. Thanks.

  3. Taken in an abandoned building of an old mining quarry. The focus is a

little less sharp than I would have liked - I hand held at low light

(and thus also a narrower DOF). But I was happy with the overall

exposure and composition. Would love some feedback. Thanks.

Beautifully done. I also initially felt that rotating a little to the right would help, but on further reflection, I agree with Carl that it might be better as is. I have enjoyed browsing through your portfolio.

    Cheers.

Can you share with us how you took this photograph?

Beautiful! Nice composition. I disagree with one of the above poster's comments about cropping the horizon. The horizon at the lower left corner is a little distracting but dosen't take away too much from the image onthe whole.

    Cheers.

  4. Echoing Arash's comments - I too love the composition of the top left image, and also think the collection would be stronger if the bottom two images were different. Still a great overall image. Nice work.

I feel the top left image would make a great shot on its own.

    Cheers.

Nice shot. The light is beautiful. I find the rock on the lower left corner a little distracting. I feel that leaving it out of the frame would have reduced the clutter and made the image stronger. Good shot all the same.

    Cheers.

  5. Great shot. In contrast to the previous poster I think the wall lacks texture. I initially thought that the shot would have been better if it were underexposed a bit to get more detail on the wall which is a little washed out now. But, on second thoughts that really adds to the feeling of empty space and the sense of lonliness you are trying to convey. Good job.

    Cheers.

  6. Beautiful! Love the whole folder. Very nicely done. Great choice of subjects and composition. I love the dark hues and monochromatic nature of the images. Would love to know more about the technique.

Very nicely done. Beautifully composed and exposed. Great range of tonality. The stone looks almost soft the way it has been slightly overexposed. Any dodging/burning here?
