1. Hi to all the community!

I have a problem with my Rollei TLR. It forced me to use two rolls of film in my last trip instead of one.
When I open the cam the counter somehow jumps to 6 so the cam supposes that the film is already at the 6th frame and counts from it. I had to put the second roll to get the counter to the 12 and then after opening it comes to S. But after one "normal" film it jumped to 6 again.

Does anybody know the reason of this and probably how to fix it myself?

Thanks in advance.
  2. I bought Horseman LS instead of LE as it was described.

The rail is great but heavy.

Is it possible to use lighter rail and which one?

Can I use the 250 mm Horseman rail instead of mine with standard bellows and 210 mm lens?

    Thanks for replies.

  3. Dear all,

The question is how the cam and the flash working together in TTL mode? (via SCA 356)

As far as I understand, I should act as follows:

    1. Manually set the aperture and shutter speed

    2. Manually set the aperture on the flash (in TTL mode)

    3. Shoot (and the flash automatically works)

    Is this right?

Another question: what focus range should I (manually again?) put on a flash? 50 mm or 80 mm

    with a kit 80mm Planar?

    Thanks in advance

  4. Recently have purchased iMac and came across real difficulties.

It does not want to install Nikon Scan at all saying "Nikon Scan installer:

    cannot execute binary file".

What can be the solution for the problem?

I tried to use VueScan but it is a pain in the ass as well as it cannot read the

medium format frames adequately (I'm scanning 6x4.5, 6x6 and 6x7)

I 've read all here but there's no way out pointed.

The scanner is Nikon CS 8000.

    Thanks for replies.

  5. Hi,

Have somebody got реу idea where to buy Nikon D300 in Seoul or Busan?

I'm going there for few days and I would like to upgrade my gear :)

Thanks to all who will answer in advance!

  6. I have 15 Ultron-35 Skopar-75 Heliar.

I can say I'm totally satisfied with the quality of picture and built.

Probably I'm not that damned perfectionist who uses only Leica lenses on Leica bodies. I use them both and all of them are extremely good for me. I like them better than my Nikkor top lenses that producing good but "dull" pictures in comparison with VC lenses to say nothing of Leica.

  7. The question seemed so simple to me (meaning wording) but I see some of colleagues went to debris of semantic.

I'm not an English native, I speak absolutely different language and definitely will be glad if somebody speaks my language fluently to describe different items. But I thought we are not at language courses.

For me this was obvious but if you insist on different meanings - no problem. Let it be photographs.

Anyway speaking abt. meanings of words you did't give me any clue.

I'm not a fan of Photoshop and digital cams. I'm an "old school guy". That's why I asked.

I know that Photoshop can change reality dramatically. But is the reality worth to be changed in such a way?

  8. Few days ago I shaw some pictures of the city to a friend of mine. He said I should have to remove electric wires, ads and all this every-big-city-scrap away to make the picture clean and more interesting. From one hand,I agree with him. It's obvious that the picture will be definitely better without all that scrap.

From other hand, all this demonic electric nets, crying ads and etc. are parts of the city, parts of its todays reality, that will turn to be a history in few years.

What do you think? Should the photographer go for city reality or should he change the reality using PS or any other program?

  9. Great! Thank you!

But questions are coming and coming...

Lens board. I have read this cam takes 110 mm square lens boards. Does it mean that I need to look for the lens board from Toyo only or some others like Linhof, Sinar or Horseman will fit?

  10. I'm entering the LF.

As the cam already exists and no bad comments are accepted :)'cause they are

late, please advise me on the following:

    - Lens for "wide" landscapes. I guess it should be 90 mm and shorter. But any

advice will be interesting and appreciated.

    - Bellows. Bag bellows for wide angle or it will bear it with standart?

    - Lens boards. As numbers of the lens boards, such as "0", "1" or "3" tell me

almost nothing, please give me the direction what means what.

    - Roll film backs. What are compatible 6x7 and 6x9).

    Thanks in advance.

  11. Doug, will you kindly advise some of them for lanscaping?

I'm a greenface to 6*7 formant as I'm using 6*4.5 at the moment. I can't easily imagine the angles for 6*7.

I made a conclusion that I need 55, 75 and 90 lenses, but I would be happy if you give me a piece of advice:)
