Check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/screen4DSLR/
I purchased the 45 degree split prism focus screen and very happy with it. Took me 5 mins to install, all works as described.
it was $80 plus $5 shipping.
As an added benefit, it doesn't atrract dust as much as the original screen does.
I used to use the blower on regular basis, but since the change, it keep lot cleaner.

During the last rebate period,
Dell had a 20% off coupon on the 1D mark II.
With the $500 dollars rebate and 20% off coupon, it was below $3000.
Maybe, they'll do it again.

I had the 24-70L for a month.
After some testing, my 50 1.8 and 70-200 4.0L seems to be sharper (in that order). Taking pictures of printed text @ various distance @ various f-stop.
Maybe my lens needs calibration.
Sure do love the fast focus, fit and feel and the pictures are not bad, it's just when you zoom way in.
When the 50 is $69 and 70-200 was half the cost, you wonder.
I think it is slightly off, I'll send it in for calibration.
