Hi,
I own an Ebony 45S camera, and I've been thinking about buying a
spare ground glass. Midwest offers both a wide angle fresnel, and a
4x5 fresnel. What is the advantage of the wide angle over the 4x5? I
own a 75 mm, a 90mm, a 150, a 210, and a 300 mm lenses,

Thank you for the help. I may want to pick up a new tripod there if they have any Ries models. I just can't get any good LF gear up here in Alberta.

I will be flying into Las Vegas first week of March on the way to
Death Valley. Are there any LF camera stores in Vegas?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the great response. Does anyone have any images taken with a SF lens that would be a good representation of the effect? Or with a particular filter?

Hi,
Up to now, I have been shooting LF and scanning in my neg's, and
working them up in Photoshop. Quite often I apply a Guassian filter
to give a soft blurry effect to the image.
Now I have decided to set up a darkroom and print using an enlarger.
Can one obtain similar effects with either filters, or lenses on the
camera, or even in the darkroom? Which is more efficient, and offers
the greater control?
Thanks.

I paid for the access code to download the journal, but received no access code. Any explanation?

Hi,
I live in Alberta Canada, and I am thinking of driving to Yellowstone
second weekend in November. Where are the best locations to shoot at
this time? Are the road conditions favorable?
Thanks.

I recently read Kerry Thalman's article on 4x10 cameras in View
Camera magazine. I presently shoot 4x5, and have been doing so for
about a year. Still learning the ropes. But my question concerns
possibly moving up to 8x10. I end up cropping a lot of my shots that
I take with my Ebony 45S into a panaramic configuration. In Kerry's
article, one option to shoot the panaramic type of shot is to use an
8x10 camera, and use a "slider board", permitting one to make 2 4x10
exposures on one sheet of 8x10 film.
What would be a good lens to start with that would suit both the 8x10
format, as well as the 4x10, having sufficient coverage to expose the
8x10 film? I shoot mostly with a 90 mm and a 150 mm Rodenstock. Also,
which camera woudl be a good choice? I think that the Ebony 8x10
would be fairly expensive, but I really like my 4x5 Ebony, nonfolding
camera.
Is 8x10 color film readily available? I shoot a lot of color, but am
also considering going back to B+W as well. I don't think that 8x10
film is available locally here in Alberta, Canada, in the great soon
to be white north.
Thanks for any input.

Hi,
I am in Berlin, after shooting LF in Netherlands and here in berlin. I have 4 days until I return
to canada. I would like to develop my film before I return. I am shooting transparencies, and
I would like to know if anyone can tell me of a lab that will process sheet film, E-6, and its
address.
I will be grateful for any assistance.
