Never mind the non-Leica sissy T3. Buy yourself a man's Leica, which would be the Canadian made M4-P - P standing for professional. Thank you very much.
-
Hehe, I always get that glow when I shoot girls.
-
Jack, that's an excellent picture.
-
A used 50mm E in mint shape should cost you around $50 USD. The E is just as sharp, less a coating or 2, and it was made in Japan.
-
Oh, you hand hold the Bessa. That is tricky.
-
That's the problem with cloth shutters.
-
He's asking about the CLE, not the CL. They have very different shutters.

Dan, some metal birds can't fly too well. On the bright side, sanity is very rare
-
I have faith. Don't ask me why.
-
I am, Herr Meister Fotograf.
-
I don't fly.
-
Check out the Manfrotto Gruppo/482 kit, and don't use the extender.
-
And what about the Bessa R2A if I had a different lens?
-
Over on the Leica forum I misread that Nikon was planning to buy Leica, if Panasonic or Cosina don't beat them to it.
-
Use fast film and set the aperture wide open.
-
I forgot at ask if the Bessa R3A is worth it, because it has the 90mm lines in the viewfinder. I do not know if it is as good as a Leica.

While some cameras are superior, my Minolta CL seems okay. It is not a
Leica but the mount is the same and it works except for the loose
advance lever. Do you guys think it is a good camera? Should I move up
to a Leica M? I have been thinking about this for a few days. As far
as lenses, I only own the slower Minolta 90mm. It seems good but not
as good as my faster and sharper Nikkor 105mm.
-
The Nikkor 50mm F1.8 is the sharpest 50. I am looking for one myself but I am in no rush. One will present itself sometime. A used one sells for anywhere from $50 to $100.
-
That is what I meant. The 90 and the 105 are very close and they are both good lenses. I purchased the CL four years ago and it came with that lens. I wished I had a 50 for it but I cannot let myself part with all that money just for a 50. Photography is a hobby for me only. I shoot 1 roll a week on average. I would shoot more if my girl friend lost some weight. A fat ass does not make for a pretty picture.

What is the part number for the film advance lever spring and where
can I order one in the USA?
-
Don't consider a meter-less M. Your M lenses will work on the RD1. But why? If you're going digital down the road, you should check into a Canon system. The new Canon has 16M+ pixels.
-
I would settle with the 50mm F1.8. That's all you need for a long trip.
-
It's always a good idea to engrave everything so that what you own will become worthless in the used camera market.
-
I own one too many cameras but I don't know which one. My two cameras are the Nikon FM with the 28mm F2.0 and 105mm F2.5 and the Minolta CL with the 90mm F4.0 lens.
