Sheffield Fencing Tournament 2006 in Sport 1 Posted August 4, 2006 I sat at the corner of the piste of the two fencers in the foreground. I watched the pattern of their fights for a bit - it was increadibly repetitive - left fencer does an inital attack, fails. Fencer on the right then starts their counter and fencer A looks completely unaware that fencer B should even consider such a thing. Considering that this was the fifth time this pattern had occured, you would have thought the fencer on the left would have realised what was going on. I set myself up after the second hit on the corner of the piste of the two fencers in the foreground and waited for them to play their routine again. As the fencer on the right delivers his attack, I depressed the shutter and captured this scene.
