Hello dears,
About this problem I communicate you that I?m agree with Paul Rendall, each market needs a special and different typologize of photos.
I?m totally agree with Paul, about Paris Milan Germany , USA ecc. Ecc.
The fashion pictures are first of all a good photos of peoples (as told Peter Lindbergh), and after a technical description of a dress. The fashion pictures is only a life stile to communicate at the potential customers, that, specially the woman, can recognized in a situation published on the magazine.
If you see the books and the advertising of Bruce Webber, Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Marino Parisotto ecc. , you can note that the technical details are not present, instead you can note a situation, a play of light, a sensation.
This is my concept of a fashion pictures and this is what my market needs.
Certainly is that from market and market the requestes are different, different form magazine and magazine, different from copywrighter and copywrighter.
This for fashion, for the commercial advertising (not fashion) the situation is not the same, because in the fashion system you sale a sensation that you can?t touch, instead for a industrial/commercial image you must describe with the light the technical details of the items, and because the goods is the better on the market.
??..?..the fashion is only a sensation that you can dress and not to touch !!
best wishes

hello to all,
I took that pictures with two flash Bowens (1000 watt/s)posing in my right side, the power was switched on total 2000 watt.
I used moreover a filter neutral density warm grey, because the sun was too strong and so to have the lense colosed at F 16 or 22 ( I don't remember exactly)
I not used the softbox, because I needed full power to underexposure the background.
this is all.
wishes
