  1. Thanks so much for the wonderfully kind comments and ratings!!!:-)

David: maybe it's just me but I have always been drawn to this street... I insisted in showing Alex around here last time he visited HK. Oh, how time flies, it seemed like yesterday but it was almost 5 months ago!

If you're interested, more pics can be found in my pbase gallery:

    Take care,

  2. Peel Street is one of the last remaining "street markets", and it's also

where people come for both traditional foods and trendy cuisines. To

some people, it's a fascinating mix of cultures but to others, it's the

invasion of the old way of living by some pretentious bourgeois... To me,

it's a street I have to pass by at least once a week but never seem to be

    able finishing photographing...:-)

  4. My heartfelt thanks for taking the time! Like it or not? I love it. How much I wish it could have been the sky I was watching; I also wish I could tell you that this was fog! However, the truth is: some thick smog such as this has been covering the sun, the sky and the city. And, somehow I felt so strongly that I had to capture this unpleasant view and my saddened mood...

    All the best,

    Hugo

  5. Thank you for taking your time again to leave these wonderful words of encouragement! I'm touched.

Though I didn't have a DSLR with me that evening, I'm so glad that I actually gave it a try with the little F30... :-)

    Best regards,

    Hugo

  6. How nice to see you stopping by!:-)

"Sai Wan?" Not exactly, it should be Sai Ying Pun - between Sheung Wan and Sai Wan... it's an alley connecting the High Street and Bonham Road.

BTW, this is a pretty tricky shot especially in terms of "dynamic range" and I'm glad it did come out fine.:-)

    All the best,

  7. Thanks so much for the incredibly kind comments!

It's mainly a matter of luck (partly a matter of patience:-)), that a young boy did pass by... The lighting and wall were all interesting, but without the boy, I guess this picture is merely an interesting "snapshot of what I saw" at best.

    All the best,

    Hugo

  8. Thanks so much for the kind comments. Must add that I was a little saddened after capturing the scene, watching the boy walking home all alone and disappearing in the darkness...

    All the best
