I'm sitting here browsing the critique forum with my Britanny's head on my lap and I come across this. Hard to find a more loyal breed and this photo is a good representation of exactly that.

Balanced & even but still bold composition. I like it!

This photo is another scan from my first day working with my new Epson
4870 scanner. The scan is lacking some detail of the original
negative which I am attempting to learn how to correct.
Meanwhile, any criticism of the frame itself appreciated.
Specifically, are the diagonal wires distracting? Or complimentary?
This was an opportunity (as opposed to planned) photo taken on HP5+
with a Yashica D TLR. Thanks!

Been shooting film for years, recently (last 3 years) rediscovered the
joy and have made the leap into medium format.
This photo is my first transparency scanned with my epson 4870
(aquired from Epson as refurb for $199 delivered!)
Never scanned film before and am just learning the ropes. This first
frame was scanned and enhanced with Silverfast SE that came with the
scanner.
