First submission of an image where I did substantial post processing

with Gimp .. Shifted some colors a bit, increased contrast in the

sky .. Is this classified as a 'Digital Alteration' ?

The boat is actually cement built in 1919.

I do like your cropping better.

I'm a computer scientist so it's really

hard for me to cut things off (her right

side) .. but the effect of isolating her

a bit more (and giving my limbic system

less to worry about) coupled with the less

gooey colors works well.

I just need to disconnect (temporarily)

my left brain ..

I really like this photo ..

The setting is great; lighting is great;

beautiful model (the girl, I'm not qualified

to judge the dog); sensuous pose.

Great work.

I like it ... but it's complicated to say why ..

At first look it's an 'ordinary' snapshot .. but

then it almost seems like a parody of a snapshot ..

The looks on the kids faces are great, seem

exaggerated and the oversaturation give it that

'snapshot' feel.

Again .. I like it and I hope you take my comments

as positive ones ..
