hello everybody
according to photo do the 300 mm f 4 IS has a poor optic quality (3.4 points)compared to 70-200 f2,8 no IS (4,1 points)
i need the 300 mm range for large prints and i cannot find the older version (no IS )brand new
...what your experience says about it? could this prime be under that zoom?
thanks a lot

it seems to be a pin contact problem//not so big deal but you have to go to service endeed/it happened to me in japan one year ago and because was not my fault they fixed everything for free, even the warranty was lost for a year //incredible isn t it?canon has an exelent service (in japan for sure)

so, the logical conclusion would be the canon 17-40?

waw//
i used only the 60 mm Planar//
now let s talk about canon only// i mean to fit canon without adapters please

hello everybody// i have another question for all of you//i am looking to upgrade my tokina 20-35 f 2,8 atx pro with something much more better//i considered first (and i like ideea) that the best choice would be the canon 20 mm f 2,8 but...reading some reviews i discovered that canon 16-35 f 2,8 and even 17-40 f 4 are better rated than 20mm prime//is this possible? please give me a little help here if you are using those lenses//thanks a lot again

i am using a tokina 20-35 2,8//a tamron 28-75 2,8//canon 100 macro 2,8 and canon 75-300 usm III 4-5,6//i don.t have yet a TC

thank you for you all//to be more specific//i am using film and slides and i can buy only one tele zoom from these 2 models canon70-200L 2,8 no IS and 100-400L 4,5-5,6 with IS of course//i need it for various subjects ...not so specific...but a big tele is a must//so if in the entire world would be onle these 2 models of lenses wich one should be the better choice //i like very much 100-400 because i don,t need to use TC and has IS //but i am warried about image quality in 5,6 ,in 400 and about vigneting also//it is so bad i cannot test it here//on the other hand i now how wonderful lens is 70-200 but...too short///the 2x TC could be a solution? but no IS at all//please give a help and excuse me for beeng so insistent//thank you so much

please give me some help here,,i have to chose betwen canon 70-200 L 2,8 no image stabilizer and canon 100-400 L 4,5-5,6 with stabilizer//very hard to do this//in your opinion wich from those could be more useful?is 100-400 so much less in quality than 70-200?yhank you
