  1. William, I was actually standing on a bridge going over the canal. As for the lack of sharpness, I think it has more to do with a poor scan than the actual focus (as I became slightly paranoid about the shot and checked the negs...).

    The street's cobble stones and the brickwork on the buildings made

    for a rather difficult printing. The contrast was another difficult

    issue but I believe turned out for the best.

  2. Kanniyakumari is the southern most point on the Indian sub-

    continent. A massive pilgramige site in India with a huge temple,

    the village also has a vibrant fishing community. I wanted to

    capture the vibrant anticipation of the uncoming tide. The boats

    all raced out minutes later to secure their spots in the Indian

    Ocean.

     

    This town was severly damaged by the December 2004 Tsumani.
