This is part of the Canadian First World War memorial at Vimy Ridge
in France. The statue at the centre represents Canada crying for
her fallen sons.
Please comment and critique.

William, I was actually standing on a bridge going over the canal. As for the lack of sharpness, I think it has more to do with a poor scan than the actual focus (as I became slightly paranoid about the shot and checked the negs...).

This is the view from the Hill Island border crossing. The days
heavy rains had stopped just as the last of the day's light was
disappearing.

Our comments and observations would be most welcome.

what a perfectly captured expression!

The street's cobble stones and the brickwork on the buildings made
for a rather difficult printing. The contrast was another difficult
issue but I believe turned out for the best.

Kanniyakumari is the southern most point on the Indian sub-
continent. A massive pilgramige site in India with a huge temple,
the village also has a vibrant fishing community. I wanted to
capture the vibrant anticipation of the uncoming tide. The boats
all raced out minutes later to secure their spots in the Indian
Ocean.
This town was severly damaged by the December 2004 Tsumani.

The rain broke just as I turned the bend in the road and presented
this sight.

This Sadhu was opening the very small family temple of our
translator in Kollur, Karanataka. He didn't seem to like the idea
of some foreigners hanging about...
