The model is quite beautiful. Definately a 'woman next door' appeal to her.
I agree, more moving water would add a better effect, perhaps even with a slightly slower shutter speed to give it a blurred effect.
Overall, a good shot.

This was, I promise, altered in no way whatsoever. There's a funny story here though...
I snapped about 30 or so photos of this seagull thinking that it would make a great shot. After I finished up the shoot, a professional (I assume) photographer walked up, setup his tripod, got his camera all set and after about 10 minutes of setup, the seagull simply put his other leg down!
Turned out it was simply tucking his other leg up into his belly. The other photographer just started laughing, albeit with a bit of frustration.

I really like this picture, but what could I do to have made it
better? Any suggestions (e.g. off-center shot, etc.) will be
appreciated.
thanks,

Thanks Charlene! This was taken in Bristol, right next to the Bristol Harbor Inn. It was a great, cool evening, perfect for snapping a bunch of photos.
Great memories there as well, although I think I miss Arizona the most. Too bad I wasn't into photography then! ;)

Thanks! Coming from you two (based upon your picutres), this is high praise. ;)

Great use of a short time delay. It softens up the waves, but you did a great job keeping the dock crisp.

The sunbeams are incredible. Great photo

What a great action shot. This photo just screams "freedom"! Nice use of colors.

This is the first time I took any *serious* photos. Brand new camera
(Cybershot F828) taken with long exposure, VERY dark outside.
What does everyone think?

The pose is really unnatural. It looks almost forced. There is also some odd lighting near the bottom (her bottom too).
I do like the contrast of the blue sky against the wood and skin tones though.
