Every Tuesday evening from May to September, sailboats converge
On Lake Union in Seattle for the weekly "Duck Dodge" sailboat race.
The best place to watch is from Gasworks Park.

The week before Christmas 2007, we went to the zoo in Seattle and
Hadiyah, the year old tiger cub, was sitting right at the edge of the
moat separating the tiger enclosure from the public. The tigers don't
usually stay that close to the edge. We called her name and waved at
her and her eyes locked on us so that I could zoom in and get some
photos of her, looking straight into the camera. Then we heard of what
happened with the tiger at San Francisco zoo on Christmas day. . .
.Now, we're not going to try to get the tigers' attention any more.
