<p><a href="http://www.robcole.com/Rob/ProductsAndServices/PreviewExporterLrPlugin/">Adobe Lightroom 3 LR3 <strong>Preview Exporter Plugin</strong> </a>for Windows and Mac - I did not try it yet but this freeware looks promising if you lost the original photos but are lucky enough to have previews in your LR3 catalog:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>"Quickly export (or publish) Lightroom preview images, instead of re-rendering jpegs from scratch. <strong>Also supports recovering previews for missing or corrupt photos</strong>.</p>
<ul>
<li>Lightroom 3 or better. <br />Only tested on Windows so far, but should work on Mac (will test shortly)."</li>

<p>Cr@p, something similar happened to me on the D300s. I pulled it out of my bag & it was on, tried to turn it off: impossible & nothing was working Info, shutter, etc). Removed the battery & inserted back in. Now it will not turn on at all. Tried w/ an other Nikkor lens, w/o lens, removed & charged battery, plugged the EH-5a A/C adapter w/ & w/o battery, USB in PC w/ & w/o battery, w/ EH-5a. And all the previous w/ vs w/o memory card.</p>
<p>Problem: I am in Costa Rica and the camera was bought in USA. :( Not looking forward to a 6 to 12 weeks round trip for servicing.</p>

<p>"And no, it hardly weighs anything" well we don't have the same definition of weight, according to this <a href="http://www.naturescapes.net/store/product.php?productid=275">Bazooka page</a> : 1 lb. 7 oz. (656 g.)! That's 1/3 of the weight of a GT3541LS with a Markins M20 mounted on it.<br>
By contrast, this <a href="http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/424539-REG/Op_Tech_USA_1201072_Swivel_Hook_Tripod_Strap.html">Optech Neoprene strap</a> weighs 5.6 oz (158.76 g).</p>

<p>John G, I would like to do the same thing. How did you remove the ballhead & what was your workaround?<br>
I thought of simply drilling a 1/4 or 3/8" hole in the top part to fit a threaded stud.</p>

It seems you can use either Eclipse or Eclipse 2 without any problem. See

"Retail customers who purchase Capture NX Version 1 from a Nikon Inc. authorized reseller, (Nikon product number 25338) from May 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008 will be entitled to receive a FREE Capture NX 2 Upgrade"
"Customers who received a copy of Capture NX with their D3 or D300 are not eligible for the no-charge upgrade but still qualify for the discounted upgrade edition at an MSRP of $109.95"

I like Ken Rockwell's site because he has is own personality & point of view & it's a breath of fresh air compared to all the beige reviews out there.
He shows that the D300 produces "normal" colors on page #1 of his D300 review with the image with the caption "Nikon D300 at STANDARD setting".
He is clear about the fact that he likes vivid colors and tweaks the camera to get them: "I'm getting deliciously psychedelic colors when cranked".
So I don't understand why the OP wrote: "the output of the D300 seems nothing at all like reality".

So Yee Kim, what is your opinion on the Benro?

I have the same intermitent problem with my 2 Lexar Professional 1G cards but never with a Sandisk & a Transcend 4G. Once in a while I format the Lexars with Windows and then in the camera and it works for a month or 2. Removing them and reinserting with a firm pressure fixes the problem often.

Simply install the free PictureProject 1.1 from the CD that came with the D70 and it will install the Nikon NEF (PP)Version 4.0.1.3004 Photoshop Plugin. After the install, start Photoshop and click Help > About Plug-In to see if it's there. Then File > Open & navigate to your .NEF file & voila!<div></div>

<p>@ Michael Ty : Thank you for the info and the pointer to speedlights.net. <a title="Permalink to Yongnuo Guide Numbers and Flash Comparison" href="http://speedlights.net/2010/11/29/yongnuo-guide-numbers-and-flash-comparison/" rel="bookmark">Yongnuo Guide Numbers and Flash Comparison</a> is quite informative.<br>
@ <a name="00Zxx7"></a>Slawek Jacek : Your post speaks of the reseller Tomtop, not about YougNuo. All manufacturers have some defective products, that's why there are warranties. Next time use the <a href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574628265&toolid=10001&campid=5336628993&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%2Fhkyongnuophotoequipment%2Fm.html%3F_adv%3D1%26_dmd%3D1%26_in_kw%3D1%26_ipg%3D50%26_sop%3D12%26_rdc%3D1" target="_blank"><strong>YongUno manufacturer store</strong></a> on Fleabay. ;-)</p>
