    Thanks! I edited this photo to take out the background as suggested. I also did a quick edit on the purple fringing by just desaturating it. I think it made a huge improvement. FYI, I think the intensity of the fringing is more a result of the HDR technique than the lens. The high exposure image exaggerated the effect. I'd rather not blame the Tamron lens as it performs exceptionally as far as quality.
